Fundamental to our mission of inspiring imagination and the wonder of learning is a commitment to make the Museum accessible for all families. With support  from theTarget Corporation, the Museum is thrilled to announce that admission is free from 5-8 pm on the first Friday of each month so more families experience the power of play!

It's survival of the fittest with BIG games and BIG fun!  Exercise those dino-sized muscles as you scale the rock-climbing wall in our exhibit, Dinosaur Revolution!

Body Rocks is family fitness fun!  Activities include partner acrobatics with Flame-Buoyant Productions, hip-hop with West Side Dance Academy, hula hooping with the Mayor of Hooperville, and more.

Join experts from Portland State University and the North America Research Group for a day of discovery about fossils and dinosaurs.  A paleontologist will be on hand to discuss all your prehistoric ponderings as well as talk about his profession.  See dinosaur bone specimans as well as fossils of all kinds.  Participate in a fossil hunt and try your hand at screening for shark teeth.

Slow, lazy summer days with family and friends. Join our resident musician Dave Orleans for some familiar tunes sure to remind you of your own childhood campfire sing-alongs!

Treehouse Adventure is the perfect place to jump, clap, shout and dance, or to slow down and listen to a wonderful story!

During Storytime, Museum educators bring a handful of favorites from our library of children's books to transport families to another place and time.

Push, pinch, pull and prod!  Join your toddler as they smoosh and squish flubber, floam, silly putty, clay and more! Meet other parents and preschoolers while our studio artists guide this playful sensory experience. Enroll in one of our or both of these fun-filled class series.
