Arts In Focus for PreK – Grade 5 Classrooms

*Scholarships for Classes Now Available

Through the Arts In Focus program, Museum educators bring the arts into classrooms around the region. The goal of the program is to support educators so they are comfortable using a variety of art media to enrich the learning experiences of their students. The scholarship program is five parts and includes:

• An orientation visit at each school
• A teacher pre-classroom workshop in a specific art medium
• 3-weeks of mentorship in the classroom with Museum educators
• Follow-up, arts-based workshops available through 2011
• Traveling trunks (a container filled with art supplies and books).

Interested? Contact Garrett Riggs, griggs@portlandcm.org

This project is supported in part by a grant from:

Also by the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation, U.S. Bank/U.S. Bancorp Foundation
